    Chad, you gotta turn the mouse cursor off before you write to the screen
 and turn it back on again while waiting for input. Otherwise, you may be
 scrolling the screen with screen writes which will leave mouse droppings all
 over the place, no matter what mouse driver or library you use. I'm not sure
 this is your problem, but just in case...
